Welcome to the Flanders Script Academy

The Flanders Script Academy (FSA) organizes workshops, seminars and research to improve the practice of writing and evaluating stories on a permanent basis. The workshops and seminars deal with stories for film, television and new media in particular, but also with narratives for drama and prose.

Since its foundation in 1995, the FSA registers approximately 100 (mostly Flemish & Dutch) alumni on a yearly basis, among them several famous Flemish writers, directors, actors and producers (e.g. Kinepolis Group, the Flemish Broadcasting Corporation VRT).

SInce 2003, the FSA also organises international workshops and seminars on a regular basis. The main focus of these workshops is on writing stories for an international, cross-cultural audience. For more up-to-date information, please consult our Calendar below.

Seminars and workshops entail basic as well as continued training in writing but also in narrative analysis.

The FSA also offers script doctoring, where we coach beginning as well professional writers from beginning to end. For more detailed and tailor made information, contact us at info(at)vsa-fsa.org.
